Celebrated my 21st bday over the weekend. Many people treat it as a great occasion, but to me it was just another day, nothing much, except that I can now tell people I'm 21 instead of 20 and they still won't believe me because I look like I'm 16 or something.
Went with my family to Jack's Place on Saturday. Nothing much, just a little family dinner.
Went out again on Sunday night, this time with my platoon mates, to Crystal Jade at Suntec, the xiao long bao one. Since there are quite a few of us with birthdays around this periods, we just celebrated together. They gave me a book entitled "A Short History of Nearly Everything". It's a fascinating book to read, which is not such a good thing now, because I'm reading it instead of my Maths notes, oops.
After dinner, kenny wanted to treat us to ice cream as he had just passed his driving test, but none of us felt that $4 per scoop of Ben and Jerry's is worth it when carrefour is right there, selling a tub for $9 plus. In the end we bought some carrefour stick ice creams, which were way too sweet and not very nice. Maybe we should have taken up kenny's offer, but we're such nice people and didn't want him to go broke, haha :P
As usual we went to the arcade after that. Right before we decided to play Daytona, some guy came along and played alone, so we watched him navigate the advanced course. He did it very skilfully. We played the advanced course too, and zq came in first. He said that all he did was to copy what the other guy did. He's too pro liao, watch one time then can copy so well. This isn't the only incident either. I came in third cause my plan to make kev crash into a wall backfired, haha.
JJ passed me a Foxtrot comic book on Monday, right before he skipped the EE lecture. This one is from LC, TF and him, thanks guys.
Last and certainly not least, thanks everyone for all the birthday wishes :)
It's the mugging season again, happy mugging.
