Went to watch Munich at PS yesterday. For those who don't know, Munich is about the the massacre of Israeli Olympic athletes in 1972 and the subsequent reprisals by Israel. The movie was good at bringing out the emotions of the assassins and how their personalities changed with each terrorist they killed. They thought they started with the moral high ground, but as it went on they realised that to defeat them, they had to become like them. However, they never become mindless killers. Killing is still something that does not come naturally to them. They struggle to operate their weapons and seem reluctant to fire.

Home is another predominant theme in the movie. Both the Israelis as well as the Palestinians are fighting for a place to call home. It is not just a sandy and desolated strip of land they are fighting over, but a place they can say is their own.

Although the subject matter seems very serious, there are a few light hearted moments in the movie, especially near the beginning when the absurdity of bureacracy is shown.

For those above 18, I would recommend this movie, unless you have absolutely no interest in this historical event.
